About Aspergirl- Instagram
I chose the name Aspergirl for my Autism & ADHD awareness instagram project because growing up I always felt painfully different than my peers, like I was hiding a secret…just like a superhero.
As there aren’t many resources out there created by and for Autistics (especially queer women!), I started this account to share my real (and often hilarious) experiences as a late-diagnosed autistic woman, with the hope of redefining what it means to be autistic. I have ADHD, dyslexia, a panic disorder and social anxiety. Yet, not a day goes by that I don’t consider myself lucky to have been born neurodiverse.
